These are hits to the website - www.bloodysteel.com/762 - but not hits to these forums. The forums are actually on the proboards server and I don't know what the hits on them are.

Hmmm. I assume you're coming in through one of the .mil addresses? It wouldn't show then, I think. I think it keys off of the .uk or .de or whatever.

OK, that was interesting. I never knew there was a country called the "Wallis and Futuna Islands." Gonna have to look into that one. And they aparently haven't hit the site yet.

OK, they're some crappy little rocks in the South Pacific; technically, they're French. Or something. Anyway, the CIA factbook says they don't have a military, and defense is, I quote: "the responsibility of France". One of you guys owns a boat, don't you? We could take 'em, no problem, I bet.

actually, we are using a Halliburton satellite network, and Houston lines, so no telling where it shows we're hitting from.

Thanx, dead0. I notice that a lot of these are from protectorates and other things that don't really qualify as countries in and of themselves, like the rocks Nailer was talking about, so looked at that way, I guess we've had hits from about half. I'll do a better look later.

Nailer, is there anything useful there? I don't have a boat, but the 7.62 squad has more than enough battle rifles to do the job.

Rabid, what it's doing is looking at the extension, and I'm sure Halliburton is satellite linking back to it's US network or piggybacking onto the military one. Either way, it won't show up as Iraq.

Looks like all they have is breadfruit, yams, coconuts, pigs,and goats. I'm thinking "Gilligans Island" without Ginger and Maryanne. I'm still up for it, if dead0's going to rent a boat. We don't have enough guys to actually mount an effective invasion of the whole country of France, per se,(It's kind of large, and the Germans might get concerned) but taking territories like the Wallis and Futuna islands seems pretty doable, and there HAS to be some money angle we just haven't considered yet. Who's with me?

I'd rather go for something in the Caribbean, like the Turks and Caicos. Except the capital is named "Cockburn Town". That just can't be good.

Well, I guess it's closer......and we can always rename the place, once we take over. I thought we might do well to start with an easy one, that wouldn't fight back. Those Carribean countries seem to have revolutions on a pretty frequent basis, but what the hell, let's go for it.
(Or we could keep the name "Cockburn town", and rename the Island "Nolubia") .
