Hey 762, been a while since I played with ya, but its like s**t hitting the fan for me, my JO wont work for some reason. I had to install it again after my pc took a dump a week ago and now after I updated it, well first I had to update the 'update software' and then I updated my game. After update was complete it gave me an error of some strings file missing. any idea what might have caused it?
I will apreciate any help on this since I play JO only to play on your server. thanks, guys.

Never saw that one. Have you posted on NovaWorld forums? If not, you can give the me exact error message and I'll post it for you.
BTW, we had a dispute with our server company so we are not running a server right now. We should have one up within a week, though. Also, it willl be JO: Escalation.
See ya there!

hey Timber, I fixed the 'unable toi find error strings'. It was due to saving an update in a different folder. It patched all files except for a small notepad file 'novaftp' that contained those strings. I just moved it into the root directory of the JO and it didnt bother me anymore. However, I still face a whole different problem and if you could find some time, please post it in the nova forums whenever youre there. The problem is when it runs a test for the videocard, the monitor blinks and gets back to normal with the results window, but every time I perform that test, my pc reboots at the time when the result window should pop up. So I am still not able to get it running and I imagine I must when Escalation comes out. If you know anything about it or know anyone who knows anything about this, please let me know. Thanks a lot.

Try updating your video card drivers. (always a good first step)

yeah I did that before I even installed JO, dead0man, and thats what makes me wonder what may be wrong. I even thought of DirectX 9.0c to be the cause because its the first time I tried JO running on DX9.0c. It doesnt make sense, I know, but I think Ill try to remove 9.0c and install 9.0b instead to see how that goes, although I doubt that will change anything.

i am running on Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4600 128mB card and I had for a little more than a year with absolutely no problems prior to this experience whatsoever. I got the driver off Nvidia website and installed it. I am not sure of any reason why it would not work...

thats what i heard too, but I never trusted in ATI anyway simply because I read magazine reviews and exprience my friends have with their cards. Some games dont even run on selected ATI video cards.
