Thank God that's over, and it really wasn't even too excruciating this year. The Wicked Witch of the West (one of the wife's sisters) wasn't that annoying. I think she's gotten through "the change". Or something. Maybe she got laid. I might even have to stop referring to her as a . . . .well, it rhymes with "hunt".
The other sister knows me well enough now to get me a black sweatshirt with a skull and crossbones. Excellent choice!
Got the English-Spanish dictionary from the wife's brother as I requested. I've forgotten most of my high-school Spanish, and no longer have Hispanic girlfriends. Or any girlfriends, let me mention! But I currently need some words such as "weedeater" and "lawn" and "now!" and "mayonnaise". One time in Panama, I ordered a Cuban sandwich and had a hell of a time trying to get the waiter to not put mayo on it. I finally made a spreading motion with a knife and said "no blanco" and he got the message.
Mr & Mrs Grannie7.62 sent me a Death Sword Table Lamp. It's a lamp that looks like a sword stuck in a skull. Very cool!!
Mr & Mrs Harley7.62 gave me a Surefire flashlight, which is another very cool present. It's one of those lifetime-warranty, 10-year lithium battery, suntan-inducing units that will fry your eyeballs out at 50 paces.
Got some other good stuff, too . . . not gonna list it all. No big stuff, kind of a mellow Xmas for us.
