For whatever reason, I was compelled to spend $175 on another gig of DDR ram for my new comp. That brings me up to 2 gigs of PC3200. I better not lag out on anything! LOL
Anybody else doing any PC upgrades, for the holidays?

I did an upgrade on my Dell recently as well. some games I played would not minimize when need be, so I was told it was due to insufficient RAM. I bought more at a whooping 300 bucks a stick of 512 (so much fore dealing with Dell). Damn that hurt, but it was worth it. Games didnt necessarily surrender under my rule, but their performance sure as hell did. Mhuahaha!
I think I should get a new videocard. any ideas on whats good on the market now? preferably Nvidia.

I'm running a GeForce FX5700 w/ 128DDR. It's not the best out there, but I like what it's doing for me. I run anything in JO without any lag, or any problems at all. And all the settings are either normal or high. Plus, it's got it's own overclocking software.

I'm running the GeForce 5900 256MB. No problems, and it's driving a 21" monitor at 1600x1200.

No wonder I get shot so damn much. ;D Compaq here bought through the DANA discount program , 512 ddr sdram ram with a Nvidia Geoforce MX420 64 meg video card. Little jumpy at 800 X 600 but not bad unless lots of things are blowing up. How much more muzzle velocity would I get from a GeoForce 5900 and 1 gig ram?

I got a DVD Burner a month ago or so. Life saver. I've allready burned 91 movies onto both CD and DVD. One of the best 65$ I've ever spent on my computer.
Our next upgrade will happen when I can get a 939 mobo with PCIx, gigabyte LAN connection and firewire for under 100$ and a 939 64bit AMD chip that goes for under 100$ (or I can get both for less than 200$) and since the mobo's are just now hitting the shelves and the CPU's are still 163 for the 3000 and 225 for the 3200.
