No problems at all. Just installed it and went right back to what I was doing, which, if I recall, involved looking for pictures of women. For research. Academic, intellectual, serious, important, research. Involving women.

I did it and not sure how it happened but it set my processor speed to 1.8 gig instead of the 2.4 it is supposed to be and I noticed the slow down about a few days after doing the upgrade but I went into my bios and fixed the problem now my computer is working like it is supposed to be.

I avoid issues like this by sticking with 2k...the stablest Microsoft OS ever.

I managed to skip 2000 - went from 98 to XP. Maybe MS is finally learning how to make a decent product. Windows386 sure sucked.

I really like 2k. It's got most of the good features of XP without all the crap you get with XP.

I'm a total noob. Got this comp a year ago, XP is the only OS I've ever known. I was a total blank slate when I started, and now..........still pretty blank, but I'm learning a little. Only thing is, I think a lot of people learned a lot of stuff from fixing junk when it broke, out of necessity, like, and I haven't had to do any of that, really.

Maybe I shouldn't mention that my first 2 computer science classes were on punch cards. Or that my first computer had a 40 meg hard drive - that's MEG, not gig.

If you have Alcohol 120 or Daemon Tools dont install SP2. you will end up having to format and reinstall everything.
